San Diego isn’t a place, it’s a feeling, and each town has its own emotion

There are 18 cities in the County, and you are sure to find a place that feels like home, even if you are just there for a few days. You can go from big city vibes downtown, to apple picking in the country, to sitting on one of the world famous beaches with your face in the sunshine all in a day.

Most cities are checklists, you find the landmarks and you go on to the next. Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco, check. Willis Tower in Chicago - check.

But San Diego is a feeling…

and there’s a landmark for every single way you want to feel when you’re there.

Feeling adventurous, playful, courageous or want perspective? Do you want to learn something new, or see something that will take your breath away? Do you want to give your kids memories that will last a lifetime?

If you want perspective they will tell you to go out to Cabrillo Monument and take in the 360-degree views of downtown San Diego. You’ll stand in the sunshine with looking at Coronado Island to your left, and vast, endless ocean to your right.

If you’re feeling courageous, they will likely tell you to Kayak through the caves at La Jolla shores, or learn to surf in Pacific Beach. If you’re brave enough, maybe they suggest hang gliding on the cliffs at Torrey Pines.

Want a little culture? They will send you to Balboa Park which is one of the largest cultural experiences you’ll find in any major city. Sitting on 1,200 acres, Balboa Park has 16 museums, amazing gardens, the San Diego zoo and performing arts.

It has the big city vibe with some of the best restaurants and events in the Country, if you’re feeling like throwing on some heels for a girls weekend. Just head to the Gaslamp District or Little Italy to remember how alive you felt strolling down the city streets,

Whatever it is you’re looking for, or need, San Diego will not leave you wanting.
